PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The Denver International Airport requires proper environmental clearances of areas needing renovation in its terminal and concourses. VIVID is providing on-call consulting services for asbestos materials detections and abatement recommendations, lead-based paint inspections and reporting, and industrial hygiene consulting. Scope includes sampling and testing for asbestos in buildings and soils; sampling for lead-based paint; and conducting personal exposure air monitoring, ventilation surveys, investigating mold issues, and indoor air quality assessments. Scope of project also includes design of abatement or containment methods. Over the past 2 years VIVID has successfully conducted investigations and building materials testing of areas throughout the airport property including:

  • Former Toll Plaza on Pena Boulevard

  • Ground Transportation Facility

  • Stairwells located in the Terminal

  • Xcel Vaults in various Concourses

  • Entire Airport Operations Building

VIVID gained the confidence of many of the airport’s project managers to efficiently complete these efforts in advance of design and construction and collaborate/coordinate in high traffic/secured areas without disruption to the public or administrative operations at the airport.
